First of all, there wasn't anything to misunderstand. Second of all, at the end, he completely reiterates what he was saying to begin with: "it's a shame that a place considered to have one of the best baseball diamonds in the country would be buried by tons of dirt". I believe you then said originally, Tom, that the shitty season that the Dodgers are inevitably looking at will be the fault of that dirt - "Keep track of the bad hop singles this April." Tom is clearly just afraid of what is happening to his own credibility, but honestly, the worst thing he could have done was come back and apologize for it. What a bitch. I believe it was you, Tom, who claimed that "Dignity dug itself a hole and crawled into it." What exactly did your dignity do when you wrote this piece?

Ok, usually when you deliberately make fun of a person's or group of people's appearance and/or behavior, it is an attempt to insult them.
